current Projects:

  •  Ceramics workshop for Arab and Jewish mothers. Every Fridayfrom 8.00 at the studio. led by Abed Abdi and the Russian artist Natasha Diatlof. (2006-2007
  •  Visual Art Course led for Children (classes 3-8) from all religious denominations in the Haifa Area at Arabelle's center (ongoing since 2006). Every Fridaay from 16.00 and every sunday  from 16.00.

Exhibitions

 

  •     In Our House Yard - a workshop for young and talented boys and girls from Haifa who belong to all religious denominations in the Haifa region. The artistic products were demonstrated in an exhibition in Arabelle’s art workshop. (2007)
  •    Art exhibition of “In Our House Yard” at the cultural café Fattush in Haifa; in the opening various local musicians and artists performed, and the event was attended by the vice mayor of Haifa Shmoel Glibhart. (2007)

  •   Cultural – musical event in which Arab and Jewish musicians and poets performed together at the Al Midan Theatre in Haifa. (2007)
  •   Cultural event to celebrate the Christian, Muslim and Jewish holidays with the children taking part in the creativity course and their parents. (2007)
Visual Arts Workshops

  •  Ceramics workshop for Arab and Jewish mothers. The duration of the workshop was 17 months and was led by the Russian artist Natasha. (2006-2007)
  •  Visual Art Course led by Abed Abdi for Children from all religious denominations in the Haifa Area at Arabelle's center (ongoing since 2006)



Intercultural Dialogue Through the Arts: Bridges Project
 
  • Bridges project, part A: First exhibition of Palestinian visual artists in Hungary (Hajduboszormeny), in collaboration with the Hajduboszormeny International Artists Camp.
 
The exhibition took was opened on 2006 april, comprising the works of 4 contemporary Palestinian artists from Israel, 3 personally participating in the opening ceremony itslef, which also attended by the mayor of the city.
Abed Abdi contributed two of his works for the local museum in the city).
 
 Bridges project, part B will host 4 Hungarian artists from the Hajdoboszormeny region in Haifa, Israel. The project will involve an exhibition, to be held at the Arabelle Gallery. In addition, a joint art workshop will be held, with the participation of Israeli and Palestinian artists.  (December 2008 POSTPONED)

Intercultural Art Camp / Germany 2008
 
  •    10 day joint creativity workshop in Bad Freienwalde in Germany, with 5 pupils delegated by Arabelle, 5 pupils from Israel, and pupils from Poland and Germany. (from August 20, 2008). In that event, the exhibition of the pupils will also be seen. Workshop will be led by Abed Abdi.
